DO ENKA CONCERTfs purpose is to develop new music harmonizing the Blues, Jazz, and Enka(Enka is Japanese popular music developed in the postwar 1926-1989) in the 21st century. T.S. MONK whofs been contributing to develop Jazz music and whose fatherfs a master of Bebop, Thelonius Monk, will collaborate with YUICHIRO ODA whofs been contributing to develop Japanese popular music for a long time. They might create new music together and be a cultural bridge between the United States and Japan.
